The City of Brooks lowered flags at city facilities to half-mast Monday in honour of four Canadian Armed Forces members killed during a training incident at CFB Wainwright on Oct. 17.

The city identified the four soldiers as Sgt. Morgan Wong, Pte. Shaun Farrell, Pte. Aidan Goulding and Pte. Hayden Lykkemark, according to a Facebook post from the City of Brooks published Monday morning.

"On behalf of Brooks City Council, Administration and our community, we extend our deepest condolences to their families, friends, fellow service members and all those affected by this tragedy," the city said.

The city also said its thoughts are with Canadian Armed Forces members who were injured in the incident, as well as their families and the Wainwright community. No further details about the nature of the training incident were provided in the city's post.
