Twenty-six Eagle Butte High School students wrote Green Certificate exams in three agriculture disciplines on Thursday, posting an average mark of 95 per cent across Cow-Calf, Field Crop and Feedlot courses.

The school announced the results in a post on Facebook on Thursday, crediting South Zone Green Certificate Co-ordinator Marina Grant and the day's examiners for making the session possible.

"A huge thank you to Marina Grant South zone Green Certificate Coordinator & our testers for coming for a great day of testing!" the school wrote.

Alberta's Green Certificate program, administered through Alberta Agriculture and delivered in partnership with post-secondary institutions including Lethbridge Polytechnic, provides industry-recognized credentials to students who demonstrate competency in specific agricultural disciplines.

Eagle Butte High School is part of Prairie Rose School Division, which serves communities in southeastern Alberta including Dunmore, Irvine and Redcliff.
