A section of Industrial Avenue SE in Medicine Hat will close to traffic starting Tuesday while crews carry out sanitary sewer line repairs, the City of Medicine Hat said in a notice Thursday.

The closure covers the stretch of Industrial Avenue SE between Bridge Street SE and London Avenue SE. Traffic will be detoured onto Bridge Street SE and Medalta Avenue SE for the duration of the work.

Weather permitting, the repairs will be finished and Industrial Avenue SE will reopen by end of day Friday, Oct. 16, the city said.

Motorists are asked to follow all posted detour and construction signage and to reduce speed near the work zone.
