A 32-year-old Taber man had his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days after the car he was driving struck a parked vehicle and rolled onto its roof Sunday morning, Taber Police Service said.

Officers and Taber Emergency Services were called to a two-vehicle collision in the 5200 block of 43 Avenue at about 10:35 a.m. on Oct. 18, police said in a Facebook post Monday.

Police said their investigation found a Hyundai Sonata was travelling east on 43 Avenue when it hit a parked vehicle and rolled onto its roof. The driver was assessed and treated at the scene by paramedics.

Police said the driver showed signs of impairment and failed a breath test.

He was issued an Immediate Roadside Sanction, which carries a 90-day licence suspension, a 30-day vehicle seizure and a $1,200 administrative penalty, police said.

The driver was not named. Police did not say whether criminal charges would be laid.
