Smith meets Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede representatives

Premier Danielle Smith and Medicine Hat MLA Justin Wright met with representatives from the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede on Thursday, Wright said in a post on X.

Wright wrote on X on Friday that the meeting covered the work involved in staging the annual event. "It was a great conversation about the work that goes into bringing this beloved event to our community each year," he wrote.

Wright credited the exhibition's board, staff and volunteers for keeping the event running. "None of it would happen without the dedication of the board, staff and countless volunteers who give their time year after year," he wrote.

Wright said the two sides looked forward to continued collaboration, but did not specify what further action or support the province was considering.
